MIP at the DNC

I just returned from spending the week in Denver at the Democratic National Convention. Whether you are a Democrat or Republican you have to appreciate the gift these people have to get up in front of thousands of people in person and millions more watching at home and deliver an incredible presentation. Hillary Clinton was the highlight for me. She truly has a way with words and a delivery that is unmatched. I also enjoyed listening to Al Gore who manages to weave his terrific sense of humor into his speech. And of course Barack Obama brought down the house with an emotional acceptance of the Democratic nomination for President in front of 80 thousand people. I have been in broadcasting for almost 20 years but each day I learn something new like I did from these powerful orators over the last four days. Whether you are speaking in front of a stadium full of supporters or simply giving a short presentation to your coworkers at the office the basics are the same. Eye contact, delivery, project, enunciate, image, and charisma. The best speakers in the world have it and you can too. We can help at Media Image Partners. Steve Atkinson
